EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Mini Cooper- Video

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Mini Cooper

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the EcoHitch hidden trailer hitch receiver here on a 2021 MINI Cooper. So what's nice about this hitch is that most of it is actually gonna be hidden behind our bumper here. Therefore, the only thing we're actually gonna be able to see is the receiver tube, which is gonna make for the most factory like appearance. And the part we can see has a nice durable powder-coated finish, which is gonna help it blend in with the vehicle well, and it's also gonna help protect it from rust and corrosion over time, being that it is on the underside of our vehicle. So adding a hitch to your MINI Cooper is gonna be a great idea, because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now we can obviously use the trailer hitch for towing, but if we want to hit the trails, or if we need to free up some space inside the vehicle for those long car rides, we can easily attach either a hitch-mounted bike rack or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Mini Countryman - Curt

Today on a 2013 Mini Countryman, we'll be installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver , class 1, 1 1/4 part number C11333. This is what our hitch looks like installed on our Mini Countryman. As you can see, the cross tube of our hitch, is tucked up here, behind the fascia. The only that sticks out here, is the actual receiver tube, which has our 1/2 inch hitch pin hole, and access to our chain tie downs. The Curt hitch has a nice welded ridge right around the receiver tube just to give it added strength, and has a nice black powder coat finish, to resist corrosion and rust. The only modifications to your vehicle you have to do, is just trim out a little part of the fascia underneath, so it's not too difficult, and the minor locations are studs that hold the bumper bracket behind the bumper fascia. Once you get that removed, the hitch is extremely easy to install. Now the hitch does have a 200lb towing weight capacity, and a 2000lb towing capacity, but you do want to check with your manufacturer to see what the specifications are for your vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Mini Cooper S Series- Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Mini Cooper S Series

Today on this 2007 Mini Cooper S, we are going to install part number 11130 from Curt. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the bumper cover itself. And it is going to require removing about 11 fasteners. And they are in all different spots so we will do them one at a time so you can see what is going on. We will start with three of them on the bottom. First off, we will start with this one that is close to the tail pipes. And then there is one on the inside of the fender well here and on the other side here. Next we will remove the same type of fasteners as the last two. And there is one on the inside of the fender well right here by this reflector. It is going to be at kind of an odd angle to get to. Kind of go from the inside out. And there is going to be another one just like this on the other side of the vehicle. Right now we are on the passenger side. Next we have to peel back this fender liner here and we will have another fastener where these two panels meet. It is more like a rivet so just kind of take your screw driver and spread it apart. And use a trim panel tool to get the rest of it out. 1:07 more
